Israel carried out a series of precision airstrikes overnight Tuesday, targeting high-ranking Hamas terrorist figures and key infrastructure in Gaza. Among the significant strikes, a senior Hamas operative was targeted in a facility that was formerly a school in the Daraj Tuffah area, which had been repurposed as a command and control center, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
The operation also extended to areas in Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah, where members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad were among those targeted. These groups have been responsible for ongoing rocket attacks and other terrorist activities against Israel.
Over the past 24 hours, the IDF reported hitting more than 50 strategic terrorist targets across Gaza. These included weapon storage facilities, underground infrastructure, and Hamas military sites, crippling their operational capabilities.
The IDF emphasized that measures were taken to minimize civilian casualties during the operation. The strikes were part of an ongoing effort to neutralize threats posed by terrorist groups in the region while aiming to protect innocent lives.
This military action reflects Israel’s commitment to defending its citizens and dismantling terror networks operating within Gaza.
